Let the rest of the world crowd the tracks at the end of the year.
We celebrate the twist of the wrist party one month later, and we´ll
beat them in fun. And where on earth could we do this better than
in the South of Spain? So, how about a 4, 5 or even 6 day race track
holiday at Cartagena with Art Motor?
|
The almost 4 kms long track does
not have the pedigree of a World Championship race venue but has been
hosting European and Spanish Championship races for quite some time.
But its layout is sophisticated enough, riding fast as demanding as
you could wish, and if safety standards are good enough for the European
Championship, they should be good enough for us. Its biggest advantage
however is the wheather. Even in a cold day may happen in between,
we expect spring wheather at the end of January. And if the rain should
come, it will leave soon enough: Wheatherwise there is no better track
in Spain at this time of the year.
Art Motor has organized track days on all of the German tracks, most
of the Dutch, Belgian and French circuits - but started late on Spanish
tracks three years ago. Rignht fromthe beginning we have conceived
our Spanish track days as with holiday style. No

pressure, enjoy yourselves, no goups, but plenty of time. The features are:
Open pitlane regime - at least as long as everybody is up to it. If not,
we´ll have a group time schedule at hand. Special individual instruction
is offered for track novices in a L vest on the first two days.
To make sure the fast ones can go really fast, we have introduced a special
"attack time" for racers: 4 x 15 minutes for rev-on-regardless laps, to
try new parts or a new set up. Long runs can take place during free practice.
Of course, "attack time" is reserved for racers and the fastest
ones of the day.
Wanna race? Sure you can. On the final day, a ten lap sprnt race will be
held, with classification in 5 categories with speciall rookie trophies.
